Pizza Wars

Never having lived on the East Coast, when I think of pizza, it's New York City, Detroit and Chicago. Those are the styles. Period.

But Connecticut Tourism has recently launched a campaign targeting those cities, suggesting that their pizza is superior. And there actually is some validity there, as Tasting Table recently ranked New Haven-style pizza as the second best in the nation.

Whether it is or isn't, you gotta love the cheeky campaign that challenges the pizza pride in some cities to position Connecticut as a desirable culinary destination. And, the responses from indignant New Yorkers.
