A Cool Twist

We're all fairly familiar with 30 Under 30 and 40 Under 40 recognitions. I've yet to see, as Yakima Valley Tourism's John Cooper suggested years ago, a 50 Over 50 list...but I'm sure there is one somewhere.

But, the Southeast Tourism Society has just unveiled a smart twist to the formula called 40 for the Future. As the footnote in the announcement yesterday says: The “40” represents the number of honorees, not their age. This award celebrates impact, not generation — recognizing leaders at every stage of their career.

Love it, STS...just love it! And, if you know someone in the Southeast who is moving the needle forward in spectacular fashion, take time to nominate!
