What Will You Drop?

To paraphrase the Capital One spots, what will you be dropping this New Year’s Eve?

We all know the mother of all drops is the ball drop in New York’s Times Square. But, over two decades ago, Port Clinton Ohio began dropping a giant fiberglass walleye (as they are the “Walleye Capital of World”). Since then, the concept has only grown and expanded.

Wisconsin’s Door County drops a 300 pound cherry (as it’s one of the things for which they are known). Florida’s Amelia Island drops a giant shrimp while Key West drops a giant high heel with a drag queen waving from within.

Whiting Indiana drops a giant pieogi as Boise (of course) drops an illuminated potato. And, Mannington WV drops a Pepperoni Roll.
