Parental Rights
It's fascinating how the double-speak we shook our heads at in the classic 1984 is simply accepted today.
The mass-deportation of immigrants in this country is putting a strain on hospitality businesses that depended on these individuals to work the jobs that Americans have rejected. Now off the board, where will tourism businesses go to find the workers they need?
Teenagers, previously protected by child labor laws, are Florida's new target...under the guise of "Parental Rights." As in, it's a parent's right to allow their teenager to work on school nights.
While this post is slightly over the edge...it does raise some serious concerns.
