A Tourism Envoy?

The American brand has never scored lower abroad than at this moment, according to research fielded by Morning Consult. From declining net favorability to boycotting of American products, services and travel, the ramifications for the U.S. economy are frightening.

Maybe that’s why the President just appointed a self-described “alpha-male” who has a special fondness for Hooters as America’s new “Tourism Envoy.”

I know. I know. We already had one in Brand USA CEO Fred Dixon. But, after the Administration gutted our National DMO’s budget, I guess the President thought this would be the next logical step to stop the hemorrhaging.

But, simply restoring Brand USA’s budget would have been a more impactful move. Just sayin’
