It’s Time to Rally
Now that Congress has quit screwing around with the shutdown and the Epstein Files, it’s time to get back to work. And back to work they went on Wednesday by introducing the VISIT USA Act, an attempt to restore the boneheaded cuts to this nation’s Destination Marketing Organization, Brand USA.
In a world that is still reacting to the President’s incendiary comments to make Canada the 51st State, invade Greenland and supporting the aggressive deportation of anyone who doesn’t “look American,” international travel to America continues to crater, costing this nation’s businesses billion of dollars in lost income. An unforced error that didn’t need to happen.
And, as we hurtle toward next year’s pivotal mid-term elections, many in Congress realize they need to distance themselves from the failed DOGE agenda to save themselves from re-assignment to civilian life. Some may even recognize the potential losses in international visitation next year that are impacting their constituents.
But we need everyone to weigh in on this bill, stat. Momentum is everything. And now that most of the drama in Washington has died down (at least for the moment)…maybe Congress will listen to economic reason.
Call, write and bang on your representatives door when they’re in town. This can’t wait.
